Remind you of anyone else's apparent thoughts on leadership and democracy?

"Hitler centralized the party even more and asserted the Führerprinzip ("Leader principle") as the basic principle of party organization. Leaders were not elected by their group but were rather appointed by their superior and were answerable to them while demanding unquestioning obedience from their inferiors. Consistent with Hitler's disdain for democracy, all power and authority devolved from the top down."

Thanks to Wikipedia for the insight?

Um, no -- can't think where I've seen anything like that.

Isn't it great that nothing of the kind could ever happen here in Britain, either natively or through our membership of the European Socialist Superstate...

{And then I woke up!]
