What are words worth?

The BBC's top news story this morning is entitled "Summit approves climate 'vision'". However even the BBC have to report the inescapable truth sometimes and so the first two lines of their report read:
"Leaders from the world's developed nations and rising economic powers have agreed on a "shared vision" on climate change at the G8 summit in Japan.

But no specific agreements have been announced, and India and China have reportedly dismissed the rich nations' target of halving emissions by 2050."
So we have an announcement of a "shared vision" but India and China don't share the vision and they are the up and coming polluters. Thankfully Man Made Climate Change is not "one of the great global challenges of our time" it is a con being perpetrated on the world by the unscrupulous, the politically motivated, the stupid and sheeple.

What amuses me is that it doesn't matter if the G8 have a vision of reducing "harmful" CO2 emissions by 50%, 80% or 100%, nor does the time-scale matter, 2020, 20150 or the year 2525. The reductions are mostly not possible, but then they are not needed so what the hell.
