"Lisbon is adopted"

So said several Euro diplomats after EU leasers agreed in principle to key concessions to the Irish government in return for a re-run of the referendum. The EU leaders hope that the Irish will deliver the 'right' result when they vote again and this time vote "YES" to the Treaty.

Of course no country who votes "YES" is ever asked to vote again to see if they might vote "NO", but that is probably because I believe no country has voted "YES" in a referendum to this Treaty.

The EU's anti-democratic credentials are shown most clearly in this matter and if Ireland defies the EU again and votes "NO" for a second time, what will happen. Will they be made to keep voting until they give the "right answer" or will the EU find another way to keep the "EU project" on track? Make no mistake, the only acceptable answer is "YES" and the move to "ever closer union" will not be allowed to be derailed by a democratic vote. The EU is not interested in democracy, the UK should leave the EU immediately and save the £6bn+ it costs the Country every year to be a member.
