I know let's have another tax

The idiot currently residing in Number 10 albeit hopefully for not much longer has thrown his weight (bulk more than muscle - physical or intellectual) behind a Tobin style tax. Thankfully his idea is being treated with the respect it (and he) deserves. Gordon Brown and this Labour government have been more incompetent and done more damage to the UK over the last 12 years than even I thought would be possible when they came to power in 1997.

Yet they still can get 20% plus votes in elections and opinion polls. I suppose that shows that at least on Labour policy has worked, that of building a Labour voting client state.
