The United Nations - beyond parody

The United Nations announce that: 'the (Economic and Social) Council elected 11 new members to fill an equal number of vacancies on the Commission on the Status of Women... Iran ... elected from the Group of Asian States'

Yes that's Iran, the country where only this week it was reported that 'suntanned women and girls who looked like "walking mannequins" will be arrested as part of a new drive to enforce the Islamic dress code.'

And yet much of the world looks to the United Nations for moral guidance... Fools, the United Nations is an organisation in thrall to extremists and the increasing power of the Islamic bloc vote. The United Nations is an organisation critical only of Israel and sometimes the West; whilst the numerous crimes of African despots, Islamic extremist regimes and the foul remnants of Marxist ideology go unremarked upon.
