More revenue raising?
I just stumbled across this. "New technology allows police to mail automated tickets to cars with loud stereos and noisy exhausts...The fully automated setup mails traffic citations to passing vehicles that exceed a predetermined noise threshold. It can detect loud subwoofers, a noisy exhaust, or even an inopportune honk of the horn." You can laugh all you want but you know at the back of your mind that this Government and several local councils might just implement this sort of technology!

As someone who lives in a small Welsh Village I enthusiastically await their arrival in Penyffordd and if it will do lorries and Arriva buses all the better.
Modified exhausts on cars and motorcycles should be and will be banned.
I have a right not to sit in a village that sounds like Oulton Park at nights and at the weekend.
You have a good point re modified exhausts and motor cycles. My point, albeit not made too clearly, was that this will be just another revenue raising activity for most councils.
