The Chinese government get away with murder

Once again the Chinese support for a despotic government makes the news and yet again the cries of complaint are barely audible. This time it's their support for Iran that has made the news - "China has dealt a blow to Western efforts to increase pressure on Iran over its nuclear programme by dropping out of a meeting to discuss tougher sanctions against Tehran" so says The Times. The Chinese government support the governments of Iran, Burma, Sudan and Zimbabwe amongst others, they are buying support or at least acquiescence across Africa and the Caribbean, but the protests from the liberals in the West are muted; can you imagine what they would say if it was America doing the same?
