At least David Milliband is a better Foreign Secretary than Margaret Beckett?

An odd piece in yesterday's Ephraim Hardcastle column in the Daily Mail. Apparently in a radio interview on Wednesday, David Milliband informed listeners that Benazir Bhutto was the prime minister of Pakistan when she was assassinated. If true this is either a monumental slip-up or a sign of the Peter Principle in action.

The Peter Principle states that "In a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence." Is this Labour government the living proof of the Peter Principle?
