I blogged last week about Gerry Sutcliffe, Labour's minister for licensing giving a jaw-dropping interview openly opposing Alistair Darling’s Budget. He wants the chancellor to “change his mind” about the alcohol duty increase. Yes, “change his mind”. I also heard that Gerry Sutcliffe tried to defend himself with the memorable line "My comments do not accurately reflect my views".
I'll repeat that, Gerry Sutcliffe said that "My comments do not accurately reflect my views".
One more time, "My comments do not accurately reflect my views".
Just about sums up Labour ministers doesn't it, what they say is not what they think.
