In the battle between Spurs and West Ham for the 2012 Olympic Stadium, will this help Spurs?

I learn that last November Charlie Wijeratna left the London 2012 Olympics organising committee to join the Tottenham Hotspur board as Executive Director with commercial responsibilities. Does this help Tottenham's bid for the Olympic stadium, or make no difference? For the record I think that to destroy the Olympic stadium so soon after the Olympics would be a bad mistake and thus that West Ham's bid should be accepted.
