The Northern Ireland agreement to end 'the Troubles' has troubled me for quite some time because of its lack of equality. The news that some of the families of people killed on Bloody Sunday are to seek the prosecution of soldiers responsible for the deaths leaves me rather angry. These families remind us that thirteen people died when British paratroopers opened fire on a civil rights march in Londonderry in January 1972 and that the Saville Report found that the dead and injured were innocent.
What about the innocent men, women and children murdered in cold blood by IRA terrorists? What about their families? What about justice for them? What about prosecuting the godfathers of the IRA, some of whom now sit in positions of authority in Northern Ireland and beyond?
