Following on from yesterday's taxman post, here's one showing the many versions of Money (That's What I Want).
The original by Barrett Strong from 1959
The more famous Beatles version from 1963
The Beatles demo version from 1962
The much missed Etta James from 1963
The Kingsmen from 1964(?)
The Rolling Stones from 1964
Waylon Jennings from 1964(?)
Marvin Gaye & Tina Turner from 1965 - a medley with "Dog Gone"
John Lee Hooker - what a voice - from 1966
Jerry Lee Lewis from 1969
The Doors from 1970 - Is this really The Doors?
Roy Orbison from 1970 - only a short extract
Stevie Wonder from a 1970 performance - I wish I had seen Stevie Wonder perform live, Prince was incredible but I feel Stevie Wonder in his prime might have been better
Iggy Pop and the Stooges from 1972/3(?)
Led Zeppelin live in 1980
Flying Lizzards from 1979 - the first version I ever heard and the most diferent from the original - still love this track
The Flying Lizards (how many Zs should there be?) with a slightly longer version
Now some more modern covers
Hanson from the late 1990s
Josie and the Pussycats from 2001 - No I don't like this version either
Boyz II Men from 2007
An more good versions out there?
