I have been looking at various news forums to see what the general public have to say about the Northern Rock affair, this comment on the BBC seemed quite pithy - "Gordon Brown is to blame for this situation. he knew if getting finance was easy, people would borrow more and more, creating a false and deluded feeling that the country was prospering and all was well under labour. House prices soar, and he gets more revenue from inheritance tax and stamp duties. Well, the Party is almost over, Here comes the Hangover!! Martin Saunders, Bournemouth"
I think he meant "party" rather than "Party" but maybe he has something!
