Lethal Lego?

There is a report on Sky News that a book called "Forbidden LEGO: Build the Models Your Parents Warned You Against" is the big Christmas hit and all because according to the authors "you'll learn to create working models that LEGO would never endorse". Ulrik Pilegaard and Mike Dooley added: "Try your hand at a toy gun that shoots LEGO plates, a candy catapult, a high voltage LEGO vehicle. "Or a continuous fire ping-pong ball launcher, and other useless but incredibly fun inventions."" Sounds fun and is certainly better than playing computer games or smoking skunk. However the idiots are out in force, apparently "a commenter on ThisIsLondon.co.uk said: "This is a very dangerous idea. "Kids could make atomic bombs out of LEGO, and just think what would happen if some Islamic terrorist get hold of a copy. The possibilities are terrifying.""

How stupid can someone be? The last time I checked, Lego did not include a source of fissionable or fusionable fuel in any of their sets! So I assume that if someone did decide that Lego would be the perfect building material for a nuclear bomb, they would still need to purchase Uranium-235 or Deuterium and Tritium which I am pretty sure even Hamleys do not sell.

What is worrying is that, as always, the writer of that comment has the vote!
