The BBC creating news to fit their agenda

This article from Harmless Sky took even my breath away. It seems that the BBC took
"the trouble to splice the tape (of Barack Obama's inauguration speech) so that half a sentence from paragraph 16 of the inauguration speech was joined on to half a sentence from paragraph 22, and this apparently continuous sound bite was completed by returning to paragraph 16 again to lift another complete sentence."
The resulting "quotation" went
"We will restore science to its rightful place, [and] roll back the spectre of a warming planet. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories."

The original context is as follows (my emphasis):
"Paragraph 16

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do.

Paragraph 22

We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort - even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the spectre of a warming planet. We will not apologise for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you."

So the BBC sill even cut and splice audio of the great Obamamessiah if he does not speak strongly enough for their liking.

BBC News are no longer a news reporting organisation, they are a campaigning and news manipulating organisation. One of the first priorities for an incoming Conservative government, alongside identifying where the Labour government wasted the £billions of extra taxes they took from us and seeking reparations, should be to have a purge of the BBC; the sooner the BBC is cleansed of most of the right-on left-wing knaves and fools that infest its various headquarters, the better.

I'm not surprised, but am pleased that this deception (for that is what it is) has been published here.

Especially since the widespread adoption of digital technologies in news-gathering, it has become so very easy to falsify images and recordings, one way or another.

This was bound to be too strong a temptation for any dubious outfit, and its use tells us a lot about any outfit that does interfere with the material they have acquired (unless for purely, and obviously, humorous purposes).
