Data storage just became a whole lot smaller

Sandisk have announced The SanDisk® integrated Solid State Drive (iSSD), being 'A fast, light weight and affordable storage solution for Smartbooks, Ultra-thin PCs and Tablets that require high performance combined with an innovative form factor and low cost.'

Light weight? it's 16 mm x 20 mm x 1.85 mm, weighs 0.83g and comes in capacites up to 64GB.

So that's 64GB of storage built into a phone. Multiple 64GB iSSDs on laptop motherboards. Is this the next leap forward in data storage?

Not really surprising because >64gB flash memory for cameras etc has been available for a while - at a price!
