Scientists know...

As the summer apparently comes to an end and we are told to expect rain until November I remember that in 2006 The Guardian reported that:
'Scientists know a lot about how events will unfold...which means that whatever we do, our climate destiny is fixed for the next few decades... Rainfall will decline in the summer and the increased deluges in winter will struggle to replenish thirsty reservoirs because much of the water will run off the baked ground.'

'Scientists know... climate destiny is fixed... Rainfall will decline in the summer...' Really? Would these knowledgeable scientists care to comment on the wet summers of 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010?

For more on this subject take a look here and at the various climate related sites I link to in my 'Take a look at these, I do' section in my right column.
