That cuddly Jewish Sarah Silverman

The Jewish News, not online but available free all over Golders Green, has a 'second exclusive extract from Sarah Silverman's outrageous autobiography.... she examines her inescapable Jewishness'. A warm loving piece it is too, so I thought I should remind people of the less cuddly side of Sarah Silverman. October 2008:
'What delightful people there are helping to try and get Barack Obama elected. One group are campaigning to get Jewish liberals to get their retired grandparents in Florida to vote Obama; their slogan is

"If they vote for Barack Obama, they're going to get another visit this year. If not, let's just hope they stay healthy until next year."

Nice... really pleasant, how witty because to a true liberal - if you don't vote Obama, then you don't count.
So watch Sarah Silverman's video and just listen to the crap about why "your (Jewish) grandparents don't like Barack Obama", apparently it is because "his name sounds scary, it sound Muslim..." Hmm, is that why Jewish retirees in Florida aren't supporting Barack Obama? I thought it might be because they don't trust a man who associates with ex-terrorists and black racists, wants to talk to current terrorist supporting regimes and is involved up to his kishkehs* in the financial collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Maybe they also don't want to support a man who flip flops on policies and whose experience of leadership seems limited to voting "present".

"Yeah, I'm proud of myself" - Really Sarah, really!

*Kishkeh - Stuffed derma (Sausage shaped, stuffed with a mixture of flour, onions, salt, pepper and fat to keep it together, it is boiled, roasted and sliced) Also used to describe a person's innards. "You sweat your kishkehs out to give your children an good education, and what thanks do you get?"'

Later in October I reported that Sarah Silverman's video might have been more than a one-off:
'Now I learn that

"A webpage at Barack Obama.com instructs young Obamatrons to "use their grandparents love against them" and get them to vote for the Marxisant radical."

Here's some more from that Barack Obama page:

"The one thing most grandparents have in common is that they have the most wonderful grandchildren in the world - so clever, so handsome, so pretty, ever so precious. Even if you are still unsure of your path in life, and even if your parents and friends occasionally wonder about you, your grandma and grandpa love you and have faith in you.

That is your weapon! "Precious" needs to get on the phone and say, "Grandpa, Grandma, I am asking you to vote for Barack Obama..."

Hope, change and emotional blackmail - well done the Obama campaign for plumbing new depths... '

And just a few days later I posted this piece of video from the Obama camp...

So readers of The Jewish News, do you still feel warm and cudly towards JINO Sarah Silverman, a comedienne who encourages Jewish grandchildren to use emotional blackmail on their presumed racist grandparents? A woman who was willing and eager to campaign for the (now) US President least friendly towards Israel and thus Jews.

How about the editorial team at The Jewish News are you happy for such a woman to be lauded in your paper and given half a page to express her somewhat peculiar views about the good things about Judaism?

piece, I too have these same concerns. There's so much in Yiddishkeit

Genoogshein mit the self-deprecating jokes, we don't have to try and
"fit in" anymore!
