A must read article on Gordon Brown and his speech on civil liberties

Please read this article entitled "New Labour, New Liberty" from the "mediocracy - inversions & deceptions in an 'egalitarian' society" blog. "Brown's team understands that Blair's open contempt for libertarian values was too risky and unnecessarily blatant. Far better to pretend to be supporting liberty by suitably redefining it. The transformation from old-liberty (= right not to be interfered with) to new-liberty (= right to be interfered with) takes place, as Dr Brown showed us, in 13 easy steps." The 13 steps are there for you to study and confirm.

I like the definition of mediocracy on the aforementioned blog "'mediocracy' is a condition in which culture is subordinated to pseudo-egalitarian ideology. Symptoms include: dumbing, jargonism, infantilisation, vacuity, phoney democratisation and authoritarianism. A key weapon of the mediocratic agenda is the Orwellian redefinition of words and ideas." I think I shall be looking at this blog more in the future, thanks to Devils Kitchen for the spot.
