Be of good cheer - but not this Christmas

I read of this year's Home Office Christmas Campaign. What genius idea have our Home Office come up with this time? Well having ended all violent crime, theft of property and fraud they have decided that the best use of police time is to use them to issue £80 fixed penalty notices to bar staff who are "“knowingly” selling alcohol to an intoxicated person".
How dare the British public drink and enjoy themselves, they should sit quietly at home, watch the BBC news, pay taxes and vote Labour.

I am not a great drinker or pub man, but if Devils Kitchen hears of this then the bile will flow...
