PMQs - Wednesday 12 December 2007

Gordon Brown looks dreadful and tired and is already stuttering. Harriet Harman smirks as always and Ed Miliband looks like he may be in love with Gordon but chews his lip when nervous, ie: most of the time.

Ann Clwyd - how was that a question? But since it praised Gordon Brown, Speaker Martin let it go.

Tim Loughton - Post Office closures - What are West Sussex doing wrong? In this government's view they are voting Conservative and that is just not in order.

Dari Taylor - Lee Johnson - question enabling Gordon Brown to look dignified, shame he doesn't really look serious.

David Cameron - Kosovo deadline question - a surprise - A EU question, aren't they all?
A second Kosovo question - why? - makes David Cameron look statesmanlike but the Conservatives need to attack Gordon Brown, the mood in the country is against Gordon Brown, the mood needs to be fanned.

Helen Southworth - Nice soft question for Gordon Brown, do you think he might have had advance notice?

Vincent Cable - Brussels sprouts - what disasters will haunt him most - Gordon Brown still calling the Lib Dems the Liberal party and not answering the question.
VC - Nice comeback on leadership elections - Personal responsibility for disaster in Iraq - Fascist regime to fascist militia? Good question. Gordon Brown waffles and doesn't really answer the question.

Michael Meacher - Northern Rock - Committee of Enquiry into UK banking system - Gordon Brown avoids question and tries to blame problems on global economice turbulence.

Michael Fabricant - Police pay in Scotland - Gordon Brown uses this as an attack on reducing police numbers. Bollocks answer on staging pay increase - £400 million increase would not affect inflation by any discernible amount. Is that Michael Fabricant's real hair?

Labour patsy question...

I think Jack Straw might be busy writing Christmas cards

David Cameron 3 - Lovely question quoting David Miliband - Gordon Brown resorts to a serious of figures

David Cameron 4 - 'B' Team description of cabinet - Gordon Brown waffles

David Cameron 5 - No CGT decision, Pensioners, Northern Rock, Lisbon signing Treaty, dysfunctional government - Gordon Brown is doing his staccato pointing thing again

David Cameron 6 - Competence and trust and change - 2007 the year he got found out - Gordon Brown attacks.

The look on Ed Miliband's face is scaring me.

Russell Brown - Care of elderly local authority cuts etc. blamed on a Conservative council - Blame Conservatives,

Ann Winterton - Congratulate military in Afghanistan but criticise MOD for not informing families - MOD decision

Is Jack Straw saying "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough" to the Conservative front bench?

Helen Jones - Patsy question on Youth Centres and Conservative Inheritance Tax proposals - Gordon Brown usual line on we believe in opportunity for some not opportunity for all - he has learnt this one and will use it every week

Angus Robertson - SNP police question - Gordon Brown attacks SNP

Mark Hendrick - 60% reduction on CO2 reductions etc. Patsy question - Why does Gordon Brown pronounce Bali as ballet?
