The BBC won the rights to cover the Beijing Olympics this year and apparently will spend £1 million on doing so.

Now do you see why the BBC has a vested interest in the Chinese Olympics being a success and why they will not criticise the hosts in case their coverage is affected; isn't freedom of speech marvellous.
