Oops Guardian nepotism

Probably seemed like a good idea at the time - From the Guardian blogs:

I am sure it is just a coincidence that there is a Paul Gogarty who writes articles as a travel writer for The Guardian, very common name Gogarty!

UPDATE:

The Guardain travel editor has responded to the accusations of nepotism. "No one snuck Max through the backdoor. I called him purely on the strength of his track record...". "PURELY", hmmm; not any sort of favour for a fellow travel journalist, not at all, not even 1%?

The amount of comments that have been generated to this "response" is quite incredible.
