The EU and freedom of speech

Archbishop Cranmer reports a story that I have heard before that the EU is looking at ‘a voluntary code to identify the interests of the authors, clarification of their legal status and an ombudsman to guarantee media freedom’. This will be a precursor to EU-sceptic websites being censored or maybe even banned. The EU don't like opposition and will ban it as soon as they can, they have already started the process in the EU Parliament.
