Oregon live report that AP are reporting that:
"Authorities in Portland are trying to figure out how the goat came to be on the bus. The vehicle was on a layover Monday night in southeast Portland when the pygmy goat wandered aboard. The operator was outside the bus, and the doors were opened. The operator shut the doors, penning the animal, and called for help. The 35-pound goat was wearing a nylon collar. It was sent to an animal shelter, and workers there say they couldn't find information about the goat's owner."
The goat had somewhere to go, why couldn't the driver have taken him there. The goat was wearing a collar, how humiliating.
