Media bias re Israel

Radio 4 PM show 17:40 - 17:48 approx - there was a debate hosted by Eddie Mair regarding Israel's ambassador to the Court of St James, Ron Prosor, and his claims that Britain is a hotbed of anti-Israeli sentiment. The debate was between a representative of Palestinian Media watch and a representative of Chatham house. Strange that the BBC saw fit not to have a representative of Israel there rather than an independent voice from Chatham House, they had no such reservations about inviting a representative of a Palestinian pressure group. Eddie Mair allowed the Palestinian supporter to make some outrageous claims that the British media was biased in favour of Israel and the Chatham House representative was obviously not as partisan to the Israeli cause as an Israeli might have been. Why did the BBC not have an Israeli representative? Maybe they have decided to institute a boycott on Israel...

You can join the debate on the BBC PM blog - here.
