Residents of an estate in Harrow Weald have been told not to put doormats outside their flats as they are "in breach of health and safety regulations", the fear being that someone could trip on a mat. The residents have complied and as a result it is claimed that several people have instead slipped on the polished floor instead.
A message to the health and safety zealots - "Leave us alone"
