Latest Ipsos-MORI opinion poll

The latest Ipsos-MORI opinion poll for release at midnight by the Press Association is rumoured to show the Conservatives on 52% (up 4%), Labour on 24% (no change) and the Lib Dems on 12% (down 5%). This looks dire for the Lib Dems who could be being squeezed out but also for Labour as this poll was taken before the latest round of anti-Brown intra-party sniping and the further unravelling of the UK economy.

I believe that the British public are finally realising that Gordon Brown's promised end to boom and bust and great economic competence was a myth and a con. The British public will suffer many things but they hate being conned. I predict Labour support falling below 20% next month and reaching their bedrock level of around 16% by Christmas when the public will feel the diminution of their spending power more acutely.
