Eurovision gets interesting

I know I blogged through the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in a somewhat tongue in cheek manner but this year looks promising. Theo Spark reports that Dita Von Teese may be appearing on stage. A bit of digging reveals that:

"The world-famous burlesque star Dita von Teese might be accompanying the German representatives ALex Sings Oscar Sings! on the stage of this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

According to the German tabloid Bild she will be presenting the German song Miss Kiss Kiss Bang together with Alex Christensen and Oscar Loya. Previously the German entrants had 'promised' a big star on the stage. So, is this it?"

I think I foresee a bigger than normal interest in Eurovision this year.
