Ah now it makes sense - Patricia Hewitt special

LobbyDog reports that:
"Patricia Hewitt, who is quitting as an MP at the next election, said she wanted to stand down to spend more time with her family.

I guess when she said “family” she meant it in a very broad sense, because today she was appointed the new senior independent director at BT.

Ms Hewitt, Leicester West, has been on the board at BT since last March."

Any recent news affecting BT recently? Oh hold on, how about the news that
"Every Briton with a fixed-line phone will pay a "small levy" of 50p per month to pay for faster net access."
NB That faster access is not necessarily for the person paying the "tax".

Ah well I just hope Patricia Hewitt is more of a success at BT than she was at the Department of Health...
