Ali al-Megrahi

In short; I don't believe he did it but I don't think he should be released early.

In slightly more detail; I don't believe Ali al-Megrahi was responsible for the Lockerbie bombing, the evidence about the bomb points to culprits elsewhere and I would start looking in Syria not Libya. However to release a convicted mass murderer is wrong, but then much that surrounds this release is wrong. If we are to release Ali al-Megrahi then the least we can do is to do so as part of a swap, we release Ali al-Megrahi and in return have the killer or killers of WPC Yvonne Fletcher sent here. If Colonel Gaddafi really is part of the world community now, then he can send the people who shot a British policewoman, who was protecting his country's embassy from protesters, to the UK for trial. It must be known who fired the fatal shot, so send them here for trial.
