The BBC "mostly" ...

A simple BBC piece headlined "Lebanese Shia group Hezbollah announces new manifesto" caught my attention. First because Hezbollah are described as a "Shia group" (no mention of Islam or terrorism) an then as "the Lebanese Shia movement" (again no mention of Islam or terrorism). The BBC piece describes how Hezbollah "holds 10 seats in Lebanon's 30-member unity government" and how "The speech took place from an undisclosed location as Sheik Nasrallah fears Israeli assassination." The whole piece accepts the Hezbollah/Iranian narrative that Israel is the aggressor with lines such as
"The AFP news agency reported him saying he would increase Hezbollah's military strength to stop Israel making the Lebanese suffer.

"The ongoing Israeli threat forces the resistance to continue to boost its capacity in order to fulfil its role in liberating occupied territory," he said. "
The best is saved to last as the BBC spin the Israeli/Hezbollah war thus (my emphasis):
"Hezbollah fought a war with Israel in 2006 during which more than 1,200 Lebanese, Hezbollah fought a war with Israel in 2006 during which more than 1,200 Lebanese, mostly civilians, were killed. Some 160 Israelis, Hezbollah fought a war with Israel in 2006 during which more than 1,200 Lebanese, mostly civilians, were killed. Some 160 Israelis, most of whom were soldiers, also died. , also died. , were killed. Some 160 Israelis, most of whom were soldiers, also died. "
Now if it was a war than Hezbollah fighters should be described as soldiers and counted separately from civilians. Also the context of how Lebanese civilians were killed should be explained.

The BBC mostly despise Israel, most of the BBC's Middle Eastern reporting is anti-Israel and mostly pro Hezbollah and Hamas and indeed any Islamic organisation that kills Israelis.
