"The end-game for authoritarian governments such as the UK's Labour government is for there to be so many laws that everyone is guilty of something at some time. Then it is easy enough to arrest and punish malcontents as the government wishes. Labour's new laws are not about reducing drink-driving or eliminating smoking in a public place but about controlling and instilling fear into the populace."
