What to say about Mary Jean Gardner?

The BBC's problem just got more complicated. The British victim of yesterday's terrorist bomb in Jerusalem was not Jewish but she was studying in a university in 'the apartheid state'. To Hamas that makes her a legitimate target but what about to the BBC?

Currently the BBC have this to say about Mary Jean Gardner:
'Mary Jean Gardner, a 59-year-old British national, was studying at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

...

Ms Gardner, an evangelical Christian and bible translator, leaves behind her parents who live in Orkney, according to the Press Association.

She had spent much of her life living in Togo, west Africa, where she worked for Wycliffe Bible Translators.'
So far no picture to humanise her, no quotes from her family; how unlike the coverage when someone is killed by an Israeli. Maybe an 'evangelical Christian' is deemed by the BBC to be odd, some sort of religious fanatic.

I await BBC developments with interest.

You write about Mary, but did you know her? My sister in law worked with her for years. The label of evangelical Christian should not label this woman as a intolerant person, she was a loving woman who wanted to share the love of Christ with others.

I would not call an evangelical Christian intolerant, however that is the impression that the BBC have worked hard to create for some years now with great success.
