XTC's lead singer, song writer and all round musical genius Andy Partridge is 59 today. If you don't know the music of XTC, you should be ashamed of yourself. Here's a few glimpses

It is one of my great regrets that I never saw XTC play live. They toured a lot until 1982 but then Andy Partridge's wife apparently threw away his prescription Valium that he took to deal with stage fright and tour stress, he had been physically dependent upon Valium for over 13 years. This and other personal issues brought the band's tours to a standstill.
Still I have his albums to listen to.
