The thread with no name

The French President, so the BBC reports http://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-europe-35869266 has given us the benefit of his wisdom that Europe is under threat, but of course that threat cannot be named by either him or the BBC.

'Speaking at a press conference, French President Francois Hollande condemned what he called the "heinous" attacks in Brussels today.

He said attacks had been directed at Belgium, but it was Europe that had been targeted and the whole world that should be concerned about the attacks. He said there was a "global threat which necessitates a global response".'

Who poses the threat? Unless you name it, what can you do to respond to it? But to name it would cause embarrassment to the BBC and the EU who have thrown their hats firmly behind the creation of EUrabia.
