Photography in public

I have blogged before about the problems ordinary people have when taking photos in public, especially the way that "the authorities" seem to take a dim view of anyone using a decent camera.

Now I see that one photographer in Scotland has received a criminal record because someone complained about having their photo taken. The fact that she was probably being filmed by at least one Council or Police CCTV camera at the time, the fact that most of us are being filmed as we walk through our cities is not meant to concern us, but if we dare to use a camera then the full weight of the law will be brought down on us.
