In researching my piece on the former Marxists in the labour cabinet, I had to read through some pieces on the various sects that comprised UK Marxists in the 20th century. Thoroughly bizarre historical differences and almost impossible to understand splits were everywhere. Here's an extract from Wikipedia's entry on "Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) that I particularly enjoyed:
"It should not be confused with the Communist Party of Britain, the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), nor with the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist)."
