I've landed at St Barths airport quite a few times as a passenger not a pilot and it can be scary but that landing was started too late. In my view the pilot should have aborted and gone around again.

Your vie is entirely correct. That is a Seneca - I have about 800 hours flying them and this was a poor approach. The pilot should have gone around as soon as he found himself fast on approach.
