Riots in Italy?

I read in The Telegraph that:
"Police reinforcements were urgently sent to southern Italy after African migrant workers armed with rocks and metal poles fought pitch battles with locals in a protest over appalling living conditions and alleged racism. "
I can find nothing on the BBC about this subject although there is an Italian news story featuring in the headlines "Italy is to open one of the world's first prisons for the exclusive use of transgender inmates.".

In fact the main Europe story is that "Turkey calls for Israeli apology", apparently "Turkey seeks an apology from Israel over the "discourteous" treatment of its ambassador in a row over a Turkish TV series. " A minor story and one that concerns two countries that I would suggest are not really European. But this is the BBC and they are in favour of Turkey joining the EU and of course it's an excuse to run another anti-Israel story...
