Will the United Nations ever learn or is it irredeemably dumb?

Having finally realised that having a country run by a tyrannical dictator sitting on the United Nations Human Rights Council was a bad idea, the United nations has proved that making a good decision is the exception not the rule for them.This time the United Nations has named by acclamation Iran to join the global body's Commission on the Status of Women. That's Iran the country where women are stoned to death for committing adultery. That's Iran where women can be taken off the street and beaten for not being modestly dressed. That's Iran where women; well you can add your own examples.

The United Nations; can you really say they are a force for good, let alone a prototype for a world government?
