Here come the excuses

Last night I pondered what the major parties excuses for poor electoral performance would be. I predicted that the Labour lines would be
"Our reduced vote is due to the expenses scandal; why is nobody picking up on the Lord Ashcroft tax questions? The lack of votes means that we must change the electoral system to ensure perpetual Labour government."
So far I have a lot of 'the expenses system has wounded all parties so this is a crisis for all politics not just the Labour Party." I have also heard attacks on David Cameron's mortgage claims but interestingly these are not gaining much traction. No mention of Lord Ashcroft so far, but they will come.
