Dithering Gordon?

Apparently the BBC, ITV and BSkyB have written to the three main party leaders setting out the details of their proposal to each produce and broadcast their own debate, selecting the chair themselves. This would mean not one but three debates, one shown live on each network - with delayed coverage on the others.

So far David Cameron and Nick Clegg have agreed to appear in such debates whilst Gordon "courage" Brown has just said that he had made up whether to participate or not in a live broadcast but that now was not the right time to discuss the matter.

Mr Cameron has accused Gordon Brown of "dithering" over the issue, something that is of course totally out of character for the decisive Mr Brown.

I have my doubts over these debates mostly because so much depends upon the choice of debate moderator; the BBC would be most likely to choose David Dimbleby which I cannot see being to the benefit of any party other than Labour.
