I'm not surprised. I know quite a few people of university age who are looking to careers abroad. I have five friends who have children/grandchildren at universities abroad (France, Holland, Canada and two in the US).
They have all taken the view that UK university standards are declining and the type of companies/organisations that they would like to work for will appreciate these degrees more than ones from the UK.
It is this type of person that the country can least afford to loose.
Unfortunately it is the wrong 42% !
