42% of Britons want to emigrate

The Times reports the findings of a Populus poll for The Times. Key findings include:
"Nearly three fifths of voters say that they hardly recognise the country they are living in, while 42 per cent say they would emigrate if they could.
... 70 per cent believe that society is now broken... 68 per cent say people who play by the rules get a raw deal and 82 per cent think it is time for a change... 64 per cent think that Britain is going in the wrong direction and just 31 per cent believe it is on the right track."
13 years since "Things can only get better" and 42% of the British population want to leave the Country; well done Labour.

I'm not surprised. I know quite a few people of university age who are looking to careers abroad. I have five friends who have children/grandchildren at universities abroad (France, Holland, Canada and two in the US).
They have all taken the view that UK university standards are declining and the type of companies/organisations that they would like to work for will appreciate these degrees more than ones from the UK.
It is this type of person that the country can least afford to loose.
