The BBC report the 'news' that 'Home wi-fi '30% slower' than fixed broadband'. But the real killer comment is right at the end of the report; apparently:

'the speed issue is resolved simply by plugging the laptop or other wireless device into the router'

Really, a wifi connection is slower than wired connection - "No shit, Sherlock"
