Not really believable

The Guardian quotes the BBC director general, Mark Thompson, as saying that:
'the corporation will "show neither fear nor favour" in how it reports the imminent general election campaign.

Thompson, outlining some of the BBC's plans for its election coverage in a BBC blog, said it was "vital that the BBC is able to provide a strong and independent place where the big debates can take place – free from political or commercial influence".'
Anyone who has spent some time on this blog, at Biased BBC or Beeb Bias Craig will know that claims of BBC impartiality are at best a joke.

The BBC's cheerleading for the Labour party has been obvious for some years now but standby for a ramping up beyond anything you have ever experienced before.
