Happy Birthday Doctor

Doctor Who, the show, is 47 today. The Doctor himself is supposedly 908 years old although as he is a time-traveller and bearing in mind Einstein's theories I am not sure how one would even start to calculate his age.

Regardless here's the original opening sequence from 1963

AOL TV  have a nice 'Who is Dr Who' feature, it pre-dates the eleventh Doctor but is still interesting.

Here is some clever segueing of Doctors 1-11's theme music and titles

How many do you remember?

And because every Doctor needs a Master to fight with, here's all of The Master's incarnations

How 'this Tardis' is bigger on the inside than the outside - the beauty of 'transdimensional engineering'

On a lighter note - "Would you like a jelly baby?" - Allegedly all of the instances of the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) delivering his catch-phrase

Now is there a video of all the times the third doctor (Jon Pertwee) explained that he needs to reverse the polarity?

Here is the Comic Relief Special with Rowan Atkinson, the excellent Richard E. Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant and Joanna "I think I can see the on switch" Lumley as The Doctor

My favourite? Peter Cushing. Missing from your segue sequence....

Sorry but Peter Cushing's films whilst enjoyable are not 'canon'. Cushing's Dr. Who is an Earth-born scientist and inventor (whose name is actually Who), not a Time Lord. Cushing's Doctor Who built Tardis (not the TARDIS) as his time travelling ship, whereas as we all know real Gallifreyan TARDIS are grown.

If we are to select non-canon Doctors then there are another 20 or more with claims!
