A level playing field

It appears that the Spanish government may have been using illegal state aid via their tax system to assist Spanish companies to purchase UK companies such as Abbey (Abbey National), BAA etc.

Action is being taken in the EU following commercial complaints, not that the UK government has taken any action or even complained.
