The BBC and Haiti

The BBC's wall to wall coverage of the horror unfolding in Haiti has usefully taken attention away from Gordon Brown's troubles but a minor matter struck me yesterday. There was much coverage of the various foreign countries and agencies sending experts to help in the rescue work and I wondered why Israel was not sending experts this time as they usually do, their IDF teams being unfortunately very expert in locating and recovering people from underneath destroyed buildings. Today I learn that an IDF team is indeed en-route to Haiti; I wonder why the BBC want to keep the UK population ignorant of Israel's humanitarian mission?
